When selecting a builder, we considered a number factors, this including our budget, the builder’s reputation, experience, reliability and we were aiming for exceptional service. Having considered all of the above, there was one Gold Coast builder who stood out above the rest and that was Hennessy Builders. Family owned and operated, we were instantly made to feel like an extension of their family. From the initial interactions with Aaron, to the support from the office staff, the hard-working tradies, the knowledge and expertise from the site manager – we were experiencing First Class Service from the industries BEST! Hennessy Builders were accommodating with our requests at short notice, they provided fantastic insight into design and specification and they consulted us thoroughly throughout the entire process from start to finish. At times our inexperience in renovating was evident, but Aaron and Dale guided us through the difficult decisions and presented us consistently with quality ideas which resulted in the highest standard being achieved on every occasion. They adhered to the timeline impeccably and had us moved in on the agreed date. If something unpredicted was to rear its head, the team communicated this immediately and professionally managed the delay promptly with minimal disruption. Our small cramped space inside and out has been completely overhauled to produce something special. The incorporation of our gorgeous pool, the stand out modern kitchen that was the centre of our design, including a combined butler’s pantry and laundry, along with the addition of functional sky lights to provide that desperately needed natural light. Our now spacious home features 5 beautifully designed bedrooms with the addition of a Jack and Jill bathroom in bedroom 4 and 5. Not to mention the inclusion of the clever space saving study nook and our stand out entrance piece that includes much needed storage… speaking of storage, this once teeny home with minimal storage has been given more storage than I thought physically possible. Boasting enormous amounts throughout the home. We couldn’t be more impressed with our new sophisticated home. We would highly recommend you taking those first steps in the building process and contacting the Hennessy team – you will not be disappointed. We are certainly living our best lives in a Hennessy home… what have you got to lose?

Hillcrest Christian College placed a renovation/building works program out to tender in 2019 for approximately $1,000,000. After an exhaustive selection process Hennessy Building Projects was selected as our builder. From the moment of engagement to hand over day the team from Hennessy were professional, thorough and co-operative. Their ability to work in a school environment and awareness of the special needs that are involved was excellent. They were willing to work with the College throughout what was a complex renovation project requiring changes to approach throughout the work in order to meet challenges that older builders present.

A quick note to thank you for successful completion of our second project together, again on time and on budget. Your role for both projects has involved:
- At the front end
- finalisation of design to ensure that build cost is within our budget
- Input into structural design to ensure cost effective solutions
- coordination of all required building and GCCC approvals
- coordination of all service connections
- At end of project
- all final approvals required by certifier and GCCC
- provision of information required by surveyor for titling
- detailed final inspections and rectification of defects to ensure delivery of high quality finish
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and Dale. We have really appreciated Dale’s keen eye for quality, his ability to “make things work” and a constant focus on achieving timeframes. The usual admin wrap up at project’s end was also simple with no surprises, essentially a 5 minute discussion.
